GP0118 is manufactured from continuous filament fiberglass yarn that has a chemical resistance. Each strand of fiberglass is treated with PTFE suspensoid and then, after it is braided, it is again treated with PTFE, an additional break-in lubrication and interbraided contact with reduced gland pressure.It is a packing capable of a wide variety of uses throughout a plant. It may be used on water, steam, solvents, mild acids and alkalies, and slurries in pumps, expansion joints, mixers and agitators to 260¡ãC. Another type of fiberglass is wire inserted fiberglass yarn packing. It is available in square cross and round braided with stainless steel wire inserted fiberglass yarns. Can be supplied with colliodal and flake graphite lubrication. It isrecommended for use as a gasketing or packing against dry high temperature steam on boiler expansion joints, generator doors, retort covers, ovens and heat chembers.
