RTTNews) - The Chinese shares surged in the day's trade with property and machinery stocks providing increased postive momentum. The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares gained 32.33 points or 1.97% to end at 1,671.62, after hitting a high of 1,672.10 and a low of 1,641.93. A turnover of 29.02 billion yuan was generated in the day's trade, compared to 18.65 billion yuan on Wednesday.
Xiamen Engineering Machinery jumped its 10% daily limit. Guangxi Liugong Machinery surged over 7% and Shaanxi Qinchuan Machinery Development soared 8.6%.
Among property developers, China Vanke rose 5.2%, Finance Street Holding strengthened 4.5% and China Merchants Property Development spurted 3.7%.
Tianjin Faw Xiali Automotive today said that it has revised up its share reform compensation from 3.2 to 3.6 bonus shares per 10 tradable shares held. The shares of the company jumped its 10% limit. Zhejiang Shenghua Biok Biology rose almost a percent.
Beiqi Foton Motor surged more than 5.5% and Chongqing Changan Automobile gained 3.7%. Wuliangye Yibin added almost a percent, after the company said that it is considering the raising of price of its high-range liquor labels by nearly 6%.
