Midwest Machinery opens new $3M building

St. Louis Business Journal - June 22, 2006

Midwest Machinery said Thursday that it recently completed construction of a new 40,000-square-foot general office building on its Chesterfield, Mo., campus.

Scott Loudenback, director of strategic planning, told the St. Louis Business Journal that the new two-story building cost about $3 million and will house the firm's distribution center. Loudenback said that Midwest Machinery, with about 25 employees locally, recently added new business over the past year that required the expansion.

JE Foster Construction Co., of St. Louis, began construction on the new building in May 2005 and completed it in January, according to Loudenback.

The St. Louis-based company will move its sales, engineering, project management, and administrative team into the new facility, according to a release.

The new building also has a 40-seat training room that will be used to provide educational opportunities for the firm's customers, engineers, contractors, building owners and vendor partners.

Chesterfield, Mo.-based Midwest Machinery, founded in 1923, is privately held. The company does not disclose its revenue. It provides the commercial and industrial sectors with pumps, heat exchangers, boilers, heating systems, heat pumps, control systems, filtration and water treatment.
